The Zip Group

The Zip Group

The ZIP Group brings in the expertise of people with personal experience of accessing those services. The aim is for people to raise some of the general issues that people face when accessing treatment, what works well and where the gaps are. These will be reported to the Strategy Group and Working Group and members of those groups will be invited to come and speak here.

Leeds Dual Diagnosis Network works in partnership with Joe Alderdice from Leeds Involving People to develop and promote service user involvement. In February 2012 the Dual Diagnosis Experts Reference Group was set up; remaned the Zip Group in 2014. The network aims to ensure that service user involvement informs the future development of services and strategy across the city, improving access to treatment and services for people who experience mental ill health and use alcohol or drugs.

If you experience or have experienced dual diagnosis and want to contribute your expertise get involved. Zip  Group meetings are held monthly at The Space,51-53 Great George Street,Leeds,LS1 3BB.
