What is The Space?
The Space has been set up to offer an opportunity for people in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction and/or mental ill health in Leeds to have a space where they can begin to make sense of what they want to do next.
The Space is overseen by a Steering Group of people in recovery who make decisions and plan future activities for the project.
Who can join?
- People with experience of drug and or/alcohol addiction and/or mental ill health.
- Coming to the end of a treatment programme i.e. just about to be discharged or have left treatment completely
- We are happy for keyworkers to support members’ engagement with The Space
- We consider the use of Naltrexone/Antabuse in support of recovery to be a positive step away from treatment
Activities at The Space:
All of our groups are run for the members, by the members. Monthly members’ meetings take place to discuss ideas for activities and to review how the groups are going.
